Journal of African Social Studies(JASS) is an international journal which is published annually by the Social Studies Association of Nigeria(SOSAN). The journal publishes well researched papers/articles on issues related to counselling and education using multi-dimensional approaches (theoretical, empirical and experimental) in the conduct of research and enquiry.
Research articles written in English is therefore invited from interested Scholars and Researchers in Academic Community and other establishments for publication in the Journal of African Social Studies(JASS).
Manuscript
Manuscript should be submitted as attachment to sosan.org.ng . It should not be more than 5000 words and authors are encouraged to describe findings clearly in order to ensure proper understanding by non-professional/expert readers. The title page should contain:
Format
The type of article and subject covered determine the format but the following format is highly recommended:
TITLE: Present a clearly stated and researchable title.
ABSTRACT: It is usually 200-250 words covering the main points.
KEYWORDS: 4-6 keywords are required.
INTRODUCTION: The author should introduce the study in order to prepare readers for its content.
MAIN BODY: This should include statement of the problem, purpose of the study, research questions and hypotheses, main findings, sub-title, diagrams, photos etc.
CONCLUSION: Presentation of researcher’s thought about the findings of the study and appropriate recommendations.
REFERENCES: Present a complete publication information using author/date citation method. Adopt the APA referencing style using the current edition as approved by The American Psychological Association, Washington, DC.
All manuscripts will be peer reviewed by experts to ensure accuracy and relevance. Based on the reviewers recommendations, a manuscript may need to be reviewed by the author before final acceptance. Submission of manuscripts should be made to:
